City-Wide Maintenance and Capital Improvement Projects Week of November 7

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., November 4, 2022 – City of Bullhead staff and contractors will be working on the following projects throughout our city during the week of November 7:

  • Lopez Construction, under contract with the City of Bullhead City, will continue construction on the outdoor fitness court to be located at Rotary Park.
  • McCormick Construction will be paving a new parking lot at Gary Keith Park. This project will be ongoing for several months.
  • Precise Builders, under contract with the city of Bullhead City will continue construction on the new restrooms at the North end of Community Park. This project is expected to be completed during the month of December.
  • City Public Works staff will be landscaping around the new box culvert at Community Park. Cactus Asphalt will fog seal the access road at community park over the secret pass wash and city crews will follow with two lifts of slurry. The new road is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
  • Public Works staff are constructing a driver stand at the Rotary Park RC racetrack. The driver stand is expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
  • City Public Works staff will be slurry sealing roads in the Punta de Vista neighborhood. There will be no slurry maintenance on Friday, November 11, in observation of Veterans Day. The complete and most up to date slurry schedule can always be viewed at https://www.bullheadcity.com/csmp.
  • City Public Works staff will be street sweeping ahead of the slurry schedule.
  • City Public Works staff will be crack sealing pavement along Marina Blvd between Lakeside Dr and Alona’s Way, Alona’s Way between Marina Blvd and Trane Rd, and streets in the Colorado River Estates Neighborhood.
  • Redmond Construction will be repairing the median of Highway 95 just north of 7th St. The median was removed to install a new sewer line across the street.
  • Bullhead City Utilities crews will be repairing a manhole on Meadows Drive overnight beginning Monday November 7 around 11 p.m. and wrapping up Tuesday November 8 by 5 a.m.
  • Bullhead City Utilities crews will be conducting sewer cleaning along Warren Ct, Sunglow Dr, Campbell Rd, Sunridge Ct, Sunridge Rd, and Florence Ave. Sewer cleaning is a routine year-round maintenance project that keeps the wastewater system functioning optimally.
  • West Coast Civil, will be performing hydrant flow tests at various locations throughout the City. The flow tests include measuring flows from hydrant discharges and pressures adjacent to the flowing hydrants. Each test is anticipated to take between 1 to 5 minutes in duration. Customers may expect to see water in the streets during and after testing. If there is a concern related to these activities, please contact the City’s Utilities Department at (928) 763-9400.
  • Stewart Concrete is making repairs to the section 10 wastewater treatment plant drying bed. Drying beds are used by wastewater facilities to temporarily hold debris removed from the wastewater system before it is removed.
  • City Public Works Staff will be hanging U.S. flags along Highway 95 and Hancock Rd in observance of Veterans Day.

    The City reminds the public to please only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of through other means to avoid damage the city’s infrastructure.

    Please use caution while traveling through City work zones. Obey posted signage and traffic control devices.
