Colorado River Historical Museum Hosts “Walter Finds A Home” Book Signing April 3rd

FORT MOHAVE — Bring the heartwarming story of Walter, the Orphaned Donkey home this Easter when you stop by the Colorado River Historical Museum Saturday, April third for a book signing. 

The signing will take place from 10 a.m. to Noon in conjunction with the monthly Bullhead City Farmer’s Market. Books will be available for purchase during the event. 

Come out and meet the authors, and of course, the star of the children’s book series, Walter!

“Walter Finds A Home” tells the story of Walter, who as a newborn donkey was abandoned at birth in the Arizona desert, and the heartfelt journey he endures while finding a forever home.

The book was written by local award-winning journalist Cat Smith, as told by Walter’s owners, Brad and Kelly Blake. Illustrations were created by Mississippi native Jasmine “Jazy” Smith. 

It is published by Archway Publishing, an online subsidiary of Simon & Schuster, a New York publishing company. 

“Walter Finds A Home” is the first edition in a series of ten that will be published over the course of the next few years, along with an animated film. 

The second book in the series, “Walter’s Desert Adventures”, is slated for release late Summer 2021. Pre-orders will begin one month prior to the publication release date.
