Community Meetings Scheduled for

County Health Improvement Initiative

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (July 9, 2021) — The Mohave County Department of Public Health (MCDPH) and Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) will host a virtual “Kick-Off” for the Live Well Mohave project on Thursday, July 15 from 8:30 am – 9:30 am. Live Well Mohave is a broad community initiative to improve health and quality-of-life in Mohave County.

Through this initiative, KRMC and MCDPH have conducted an updated Community Health Assessment (CHA) survey of Mohave County residents. Previous community health assessments have resulted in focused initiatives to address certain health issues such as substance abuse and mental health.

Consultants for Live Well Mohave will outline the goals and present preliminary data gathered in the survey at the kick-off event. County residents can attend the kick-off via Zoom.

In the coming weeks, Live Well Mohave will host seven additional community meetings throughout the county. All Mohave County residents are encouraged to take part in these meetings, which will inform a Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP) for each major area of the county.

Meetings are scheduled for the following dates and locations:

  • Colorado City – 7/22
  • Beaver Dam/Littlefield – 7/23
  • Bullhead City – 7/29
  • Golden Shores/Topock – 7/29
  • Kingman – 8/5
  • Dolan Springs/Meadview/Chloride – 8/5
  • Lake Havasu City – 8/6
