Kiwanis Club of Bullhead City, Morning, a Community Service Foundation provided generous sponsorship of the 2021 Summer Group Swim Lessons.  The gift gave the City of Bullhead City the ability to offer Parent Tot, Level 1 and Level 2 swim lessons at NO COST to families in addition to offering the Level 3, 4 & 5 swim lessons for a dramatically reduced rate.

“Our community is very lucky to have both the Colorado River and Lake Mohave in our backyard.  Since many of our recreational activities utilize these bodies of water, it is important to provide our community with the opportunity to learn swim and survival skills,” says Kara Kaplan, the City of Bullhead City Parks and Recreation Supervisor.  “Thanks to the generous support of the Kiwanis Club of Bullhead City, Morning, Community Service Foundation, we able to provide swim lessons to 400 kids throughout the summer.” Additional lessons for a fee will be held this fall.

Lessons will be held at the Bullhead City Municipal Pool, located at 2255 Trane Road.  Lessons will be after school Monday/Wednesday and Tuesday/Thursday at 4:15pm, 4:50pm, 5:25pm & 6:00pm and on Saturdays at 9:00am, 9:35am, 10:10am & 10:45pm.  Sessions will begin August 2nd and continue through October 30th.

“My son is actually swimming now!  They did a great job of making it fun but also motivating the kids to do their best trying new skills“ said one Bullhead City resident.  Registration for Fall Session 1 is currently open and Saturday Fall Session will open August 14th.

Each session consists of 8 lessons and swimmers advance based on experience and class level.  Another Bullhead City Parent, says, “What wonderful learning experience.  He [my son] learned new skills to use in real life.  Would recommend anyone do swim lessons.”

To ensure all swimmer progress at an accelerated rate, we are limiting level 1-5 lessons to 5 kids per class and Parent Tot to 15.  All sessions cost $60 per session (8 lesson total).
