KINGMAN – Be prepared for delays and confusion as a major intersection gets a makeover this week.
According to the City of Kingman Public Works Department , Sunland Asphalt LLC began work Monday night on repairs to the interchange of Route 66/Andy Devine Avenue and Stockton Hill and Hualapai Mountain roads.
The crews will be working 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday, and June 11 and 12. Expect delays during morning and evening treks to and from work.
Tuesday’s project begins with the paving of Stockton Hill and Hualapai Mountain roads. Expect lane and intermittent road closures between Andy Devine and the bridges crossing the railroad tracks on Hualapai Mountain Road’s railroad bridges.
Road improvements near the intersection are expected to conclude June 11 and 12. The work may lead to lane restrictions, closures and minor delays.
