Cornfest Event Approved by the City

The Bullhead City-based Kiwanis Club of the Colorado River, also known as “The Noon Club,” announces the 2020 Cornfest event will be held as scheduled on Friday and Saturday, October 23 and 24. The decision to go ahead with the event was made by the club’s Cornfest committee, after getting the approval from the city manager’s office.

“We have the food permits for our vendors and our committee has been working diligently and proceeding as scheduled,” said Cornfest Committee Chairman Clay Parker. “Now we have approval from the city, following the approval of a COVID-19 Plan we submitted.”

The large-scale family friendly fall festival returns to the corner of Highway 95 and Marina Boulevard, at the newly improved Gary Keith Park. Parker added that the club has been in numerous meetings with city officials, which led to today’s decision.

“The club may or may not have a non-alcoholic event, if we are unable to get the liquor license for the beer garden, due to the governor’s executive orders,” Parker said. “All of the vendors, community volunteers, non-profits, the bands we scheduled for both days and the 10-thousand square foot haunted house volunteers are all giving us the thumbs up”

Meanwhile, the very popular “Scream In The Dark” haunted house is listed online as taking place on October 23rd and 24th (during the Cornfest), and special performances on the 27th, 30th and Halloween Night. Hours of operation for the haunted house are listed on the Cornfest website.
