MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 1, 2021) – The County has reached nearly 50% of its residents who are in the 65 Years and Older in receiving COVID-19 vaccinations. County Health Director Denise Burley says “it’s a significant milestone and reflection of our efforts to help our most vulnerable, highest risk age group in Mohave County.”

Burley added, “the trend is moving in a positive direction.  We have less positive cases, less hospitalizations, less deaths.  The total vaccine utilized is nearly 85% of doses allocated. We’re in a much better position today than ever before.”

Meanwhile, the state has allocated Mohave County a modest increase from previous weeks, 13,000 doses–10,000 Moderna and 3,000 Johnson & Johnson doses for the upcoming week.  Any adult in Mohave County is now eligible to receive a vaccination. Now is an excellent time to schedule an appointment as appointments and vaccine are more readily available.
