BULLHEAD CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT:

WARRANT—Maria Elena Garcia, 73, was arrested on August 14 in the 1800 block of Diamond Drive on a warrant for failure to pay fines. She was taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA—Anthony Thomas Salazar, 21, was arrested on August 14 in the 1300 block of Navajo Drive on suspicion of two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. Police reportedly made contact with with Salazar during a suspicious activity call off Navajo Drive. In plain sight, police saw some marijuana paraphernalia as well as a spoon with methamphetamine residue. He was taken to the Mohave County jail.

FAILURE TO REGISTER SEX OFFENDER—Timothy Lee Presnell, 59, was arrested on August 15 in the 600 block of Highway 95 on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender. Police reportedly made contact with a group of people sleeping in a van in a business parking lot. It was reported as suspicious activity. One male, later identified as Presnell, initially gave police a false name. His true identity was determined and Presnell is required to register as a sex offender, but had failed to update his driver’s license as required.  He was taken to the Mohave County jail.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT/SHOPLIFTING—Jesse Eugene Barnes, 51, was arrested on August 15 in the 1700 block of Lakeside Drive on suspicion of disorderly conduct and shoplifting. Police report Smith’s Food & Drug reported Barnes had consumed a Redbull without paying. He was reportedly very disorderly and uncooperative during police contact. He was taken to Mohave County jail.

WARRANT—Lillian Marie Dunsmuir, 52, was arrested on August 16 in the 2100 block of Riviera Boulevard on a misdemeanor warrant for fraud. She was taken to the Mohave County jail.

SHOPLIFTING—Oscar Ignatius Russell, 46, was arrested on August 16 in the 1700 block of Highway 95 on suspicion of shoplifting. The store reported seeing Russell place unpaid items in grocery bags while in a motorized scooter. Items stolen were grocery items, a potted plant and a bottle of whiskey totaling $202.89. He was later released.

BURGLARY—Kenneth Pierce Benavidez, 23, was arrested on August 16 in the 2800 block of Silver Creek Road on suspicion of burglary. On August 10, a female reported her apartment, located in the 1700 block of Arriba Drive, was burglarized. It was reported a television was missing. Police state witnesses reported seeing a man, Benavidez, from a neighboring apartment took the TV from her residence. He was arrested and taken to the Mohave County jail.

CRIMINAL TRESPASSING—Wanda Ann Hacegaba, 47, was arrested on August 16 in the 2000 block of Del Rey Drive on suspicion of criminal trespassing. Police responded to the area for on a suspicious activity report. Hacegaba had been trespassed from this residence and previously warned. She was taken to the Mohave County jail.

WARRANT—Joshua David Short, 34, was arrested on August 16 in the area of McAlister Drive and Dianne Drive on a pre-adjudication warrant. He was taken to the Mohave County jail.

SUSPENDED LICENSE/WARRANTS—Agustin Antonio Banuelos III, 21, was arrested on August 16 in the area of Yale Drive and Hancock Road on suspicion of having a suspended license and on two warrants issued out of Bullhead City Justice Court. Police conducted a traffic stop and made contact on Banuelos and two female passengers, who were also arrested. Jocelyn Yoanna Flores, 24, was arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia; Jasmine Marie Hieb, 18, was arrested on suspicion of possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. In Flores’ possession police reportedly located a baggy of meth, about 8.8 grams of marijuana and a meth pipe. In Hieb’s wallet, police reportedly located a baggy of meth. She reportedly had additional meth concealed on her. All three were taken to the Mohave County jail.

FICTITIOUS REGISTRATION—Greggory Lance Mesenhimer, 58, was arrested on August 17 in the area of Highway 95 and Thunderstruck Drive on suspicion of displaying fictitious registration/license plates. Police conducted a traffic stop on Mesenhimer for reportedly speeding in that area. However, a records checked showed the registration/license plates to be displayed in a fictitious manner. He was taken to the Mohave County jail.

MOHAVE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE:

BURGLARY, FORT MOHAVE—Nathanial Mark-Stone Daniels, 21, was arrested on August 16 in the 4300 block of Amanda Avenue on suspicion of burglary-3rd degree. On August 11, deputies responded to a business in the 4800 block on Boundary Cone Road in reference to a burglary. The reporting party advised that sometime during the night prior, an unknown subject made entry onto the property. They advised that $100 cash and a coffee maker had been stolen from inside a shed on the property. A Kawasaki UTV was also stolen from the property. Video surveillance was reviewed and deputies observed a small pickup truck with a tool box pull into view, then both the truck and the UTV were observed driving away. On August 16, the employee called deputies to advise that they had received an anonymous tip that the UTV was seen parked in the garage of a residence in the 4300 block of Amanda Ave. Deputies responded and observed the truck from the surveillance video parked in the driveway of the residence. Deputies made contact with Daniels, who advised that a friend had brought the UTV to the residence a few days prior and the truck belonged to him. Daniels was taken to the Mohave County jail.

DRUGS/WEAPONS, LAKE HAVASU CITY—Gregory Allen Hoefs, 25, was arrested on August 16 in the 3000 block of Joyce Lane on suspicion of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of a weapon in use of a drug offense. On August 16, deputies responded to a residence in the 3000 block of Joyce Lane and upon arrival, deputies met with Mohave County Probation Officers, who had been at the residence conducting a probation search of another subject. During the search, a grey backpack was located and Hoefs reportedly claimed ownership of the backpack. A search of the backpack revealed a handgun, 17.5 grams of methamphetamine, a pipe, baggies, a scale, and other paraphernalia. A pat search revealed over $700 cash in his pockets. Hoefs was taken to the Mohave County jail.
