BULLHEAD CITY — A crash Saturday night claimed the life of a 52-year-old local man.

Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said in a statement Sunday that the victim has been identified as Richard Tynda.

Emergency crews arrived on scene around 8 p.m. in the 1700 block of Highway 95, near Colina Drive in reference to a multi-vehicle crash that involved a motorcycle.

Fromelt said investigation showed a southbound motorcycle was struck by a northbound silver Nissan Altima that was reportedly making a left turn. The Nissan Altima then struck a van that was pulling out of the Safeway parking lot.

Tynda, who was operating the motorcycle, died at the scene.

No other injuries were reported and no citations were issued, said Fromelt.

The crash remains under investigation to determine fault.
