KRMC to reopen the Del. E. Webb Wellness Center

Kingman, Arizona, September 3, 2020 – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) announced today that it will reopen the Del. E. Webb Wellness Center tomorrow, Friday, September 4th at 5:00 a.m.

The Wellness Center has been closed to the public since June 29th to comply with Governor Doug Ducey’s executive order to close Arizona gyms to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the state.

Starting tomorrow, members can again access the center’s state-of-the-art cardiovascular and strength training equipment and heated indoor swimming pool during its normal business hours:

Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 9:00 pm

Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 am – 6:00 pm

According to KRMC Wellness Center Director, Alisa Yarbrough, the center meets all requirements for reopening and has received permission from the governor’s office to do so.

“We have fully implemented measures for complying with state requirements, which include limiting occupancy, increasing the distance between gym equipment, and adhering to rigorous cleaning and disinfecting protocols,” she said.

All gym patrons and staff will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms when entering the facility and must wear a mask at all times. Additionally, all members must comply with social distancing guidelines as outlined in the ADHS Guidance for Gyms and Fitness Providers (see at https://azgovernor.gov/sites/default/files/guidance_for_gyms_fitness_providers.pdf).

Upon opening, the wellness center will not be offering child care services nor conducting group exercise classes. “These services will be coming soon,” said Yarbrough. “In the meantime, we’ll continue to offer virtual classes online.”
