Desert ATV Fatality

At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, fire department units responded to the desert area north of Paso De Oro Drive for a desert rescue/ATV accident. The first arriving rescue unit reported a single fatality and no other injuries. Two engine companies, two specialized desert rescue units and a Battalion Chief responded to the incident.

Lake Havasu Police Department, Mohave County Sherriff’s office and AMR also responded. Crews remained on the scene additional two hours assisting law enforcement. The cause of the accident is under investigation by law enforcement agencies.
