Desert Diamond Distillery Wins Gold Medal at IWSC for 11 Year Old Barrel Reserve Rum

Kingman, AZ – March 2023 – Desert Diamond Distillery, a family-owned and operated distillery in Kingman, Arizona, is proud to announce that its 11 Year Old Barrel Reserve Rum has won a Gold medal scoring a perfect 99/99 at the 2023 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC). The IWSC is one of the world’s most prestigious spirits competitions, and the Gold medal is the highest honor that can be awarded.

The 11 Year Old Barrel Reserve Rum is a small-batch, hand-crafted spirit that is aged in American oak barrels for 11 years. “An exceptional balance with tropical fruits in abundance and a soft and subtle smokiness with integrated oak giving texture, and layers of treacle tart sweetness and juicy pineapple making this a heavenly combination that lingers forever in the mouth ” The IWSC judges praised the rum for its “rich, complex flavor profile” and “smooth, elegant finish.”
