Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested James Allen Dorrier, 36 of Kingman, for Possession of a Weapon by Prohibited Person, Narcotic Drug Possession, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession, all felonies. On Friday (12/27) at approximately 8:45 PM, deputies observed a vehicle travelling north on Stockton Hill Rd. and observed the vehicle did not come to a complete stop before turning at the stop light on Northern Ave. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Dorrier, who handed deputies a Nevada identification card. Dorrier advised deputies he did not have a license and deputies could detect the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When asked if there were any weapons present, Dorrier advised deputies that there was a handgun in the driver’s side door. For officer safety, Dorrier was asked to exit the vehicle. When asked about the odor, Dorrier advised he had a THC vape pen in his shirt pocket. A records check revealed Dorrier was a convicted felon out of Nevada and he was detained. A search of the vehicle revealed a second THC vape pen in the center console. James Allen Dorrier was arrested and booked into Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
