Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) officers are looking for a dog and its owner for standard quarantine procedures and a dog bite investigation. On February 26, ACW was dispatched to the hospital for a man being treated for a dog bite. The male said he was riding his bicycle in the 1100 block of Highway 95, near the Days Inn, where another male was on the corner with his dog.

The victim reported that when he rode past, the dog lunged at him and bit him on his upper thigh. The dog owner and the victim then got into an argument. The victim reported that the dog owner threated to send his dog after him, which he reportedly did. The victim was bit on his calf.

The dog is described as a German Shepherd, mostly black in color with some tan/gold. The dog had a blue and black “service dog” vest on it. The male dog owner is described as an older white man, about 60 – 70 years old. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

ACW patrolled the area but have not located the dog or owner. If anyone has any information, please call the Bureau of Animal Care and Welfare at (928) 763-6000, reference report# 22-05470.
