AGGRAVATED ASSAULT PER DOMESTIC VIOLENCE- LITTLEFIELD
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Anthony Charles Pope, 36 of Cedar City, UT, for two counts of felony Aggravated Assault per Domestic Violence and misdemeanor Failure to Comply with a Court Order. On Tuesday (4/7) at approximately 7:15 PM, deputies were flagged down by a citizen who advised they had picked up a female on Highway 389 near milepost 24 and dropped her off at a nearby business per her request. The citizen advised the woman was badly bruised and injured and claimed her husband had assaulted her. Deputies responded to the business and made contact with the female victim. Deputies observed she had sever bruising to the entire right side of her face and arms and the female stated she thought her collarbone was broken. The female advised that she and her husband, identified as Pope,
lived in a motorhome and Pope had been extremely violent in the previous days, punching her in the face with a closed fist several times. Deputies responded to where the motorhome was located and attempted to make contact with Pope. Deputies knocked and announced themselves with their onboard PA system with no response.

The following day (4/8) MCSO dispatch was notified by Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) that a trooper had made contact with Pope and had him detained. Deputies arrived and were advised that the trooper had observed Pope walking on Highway 389 milepost 23. When asked, Pope advised the victim received the injuries when he attempted to defend himself. Anthony Charles Pope was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

DRUG POSSESSION- KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Kevin Lee Dennis, 46 of Kingman, for Marijuana Possession, Dangerous Drug Possession, Dangerous Drug Possession for Sale, Narcotic Drug Possession, Narcotic Drug Possession for Sale, Drug Paraphernalia Possession, all felonies, and two active arrest warrants. On Friday (4/10) at approximately 7:15 PM, deputies responded to the 3100 block of Hearne Ave. to attempt to locate Dennis. Information had been received that Dennis was staying in a motorhome on a property of a burnt-down, abandoned property. Deputies arrived on scene and observed Dennis inside the abandoned home. Dennis fled to the back yard of the property and fled through a back alley and dirt field near the property. A second deputy arrived on scene of the chase and apprehended Dennis in the 3100
block of Devlin Ave., however observed Dennis throw something into a nearby property before getting on the ground. Dennis was detained and a search of his person revealed a baggie containing marijuana, a baggie containing methamphetamine, and a substantial amount of cash. Deputies searched the nearby property and located a grey container. Inside the container deputies located one baggie three ecstasy pills, a baggie containing methamphetamine, and two baggies containing heroin. The two baggies containing methamphetamine were weighed and equaled 6.6 grams. The two baggies containing heroin were weighed
and equaled 3 grams. Kevin Lee Dennis was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
