DONALD EDGAR COLLORAN
Donald Edgar Colloran passed away at his home on Thursday, March 29, 2018. He was born December 17, 1932.
He was raised in Southern Calif. and was a member of the Teamsters for over 36 years, driving for Delta/CME until they closed and then for Transit Mix Concrete until his retirement in 1991.
Don was a Korean War Veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1951 to 1954. It upset him terribly that Veterans are not getting a fair shake after all they have done for our country. He was a member of VFW Post 6306 in Golden Shores.
He bought his property in Golden Shores in the 60’s and he and his wife developed it in 1981 and moved here permanently in 1991. He loved the desert and the river. Don was a family man and loved when family came to visit. He took great pride in his home and it showed. People would say they had to use a magnifying glass to find a weed.
Don is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia; daughter, Jolene (Wayne) Colburn; three grandsons, Zachery (Racquel) Colburn, Brian (Amanda) Colburn and Kevin (Jolene) Colburn; nine great-great-grandchildren, Anna, Zachery Jr., Robert, Romey, Lukas, Paxton, Reid, Rylee, and Cassidy. He is also survived by his best buddy, Bugsy the Pug.
There will be no services per his wishes.
