Drowning Update

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Boating Safety Officers are continuing their investigation into a drowning that occurred on Saturday (1/8). After a brief search of the waterways of Body Beach, the subject was located deceased in approximately 5 feet of water. The subject has been identified as Danny Sipes, 58 of San Angelo, TX. This investigation is ongoing.

 

ORIGINAL 01/08/2022: DROWNING- LAKE HAVASU

On Saturday (1/8) at approximately 5:55 PM, Deputies with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety responded to a report of a possible drowning in the area of Body Beach on Lake Havasu. Early reports advised witnesses observed a fully clothed male subject walked into the water from shore, and never resurfaced.

Deputies arrived, and immediately began searching the water by boat. The subject was located deceased in approximately 5 feet of water by Boating Deputies. This incident is still under investigation, and victim identification is pending next of kin notification.
