Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Jared Shane Ley, 37 of Kingman, for Dangerous Drug Possession and Failure to Register (Convicted Sex Offender Requirements), both felonies. On Friday (10/20) at approximately 9:38 AM, Deputies were clearing a residence in the 2600 block of Potter Ave. As deputies cleared the residence, Ley was located hiding in a closet of the home. While being detained, Ley advised he had a syringe full of illegal drugs in his pocket.
A records check revealed Ley is a convicted sex offender and is required to register his address with this office. Ley had not updated his address since March of 2021, but advised that he is a transient that stays in the area. Jared Shane Ley was arrested and booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
