KINGMAN—A walk down a Kingman street Tuesday morning ended in the arrest of two Kingman men.
Cole Patrick Jennings-Wallace, 21, was arrested on suspicion of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of narcotic drugs for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespassing.
Kingman Police Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper said officers noticed Wallace and a second subject—identified as Darren Travonte Lewis, walking in the area of Club Avenue and Main Street.
Lewis reportedly had an active warrant for his arrest and when police attempted to make contact with him, he reportedly fled from the officer but was quickly apprehended.
However, Wallace continued running from police by jumping over several neighborhood yards, said Cooper.
Wallace was later found hiding in a backyard and a search of a backpack reportedly uncovered heroin and four-and-a-half pounds of cocaine.
Wallace reportedly told police he had found the cocaine on a dirt road in Golden Valley.
During a search of Lewis, police reportedly found a handgun, heroin and drug paraphernalia.
He faces charges of possession of narcotic drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, weapons misconduct and a warrant for failure to appear.
Both were taken to the Mohave County jail in Kingman.
