KINGMAN, Ariz. – Crews in the southbound work zone were able to complete the main line and laterals this week and are ready to patch the trenches. They began patching this morning starting at the Airway Avenue intersection. After the Airway Ave. work is complete, crews will work to complete the patching in the remainder of the work zone, and is expected to be complete by the end of today. In addition to the southbound work zone, there is a small section of trench that needs to be patched in the northbound lanes just south of Kino Ave. that will be completed today as well.

Next week, work crews will be doing concrete work on some of the sidewalks and driveways throughout the project, while we wait for the regulatory approvals from the state. Small zones of traffic control will be set up for crews as they work.

The culvert project near Hillcrest Dr. started this week and is progressing as planned. Crews have been able to complete the required demolition on the east side of the road and installed both pipes up to the edge of the work zone. They are currently working on the concrete headwall which should be poured by tomorrow.

Next week, crews will work on installing a new road drain, curb and sidewalk on the east side of Stockton Hill Rd. After the concrete work is complete, they will patch the road and switch the work to the west side. The switch is scheduled to occur on Thursday, April 11. When this happens, all southbound traffic will be shifted east around the work zone. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction through the work zone.
