Bullhead City – Early this morning at approximately 4:30 a.m., our crews were dispatched to a reported structure fire on the 800 block of Terrace Dr. Upon arrival, firefighters reported heavy smoke and flames coming from a mobile home structure. After confirming all occupants had safely evacuated, BC Campbell directed an aggressive fire attack, keeping the fire from spreading to nearby structures. Unfortunately, four animals perished in the blaze, which included three dogs and one turtle. One female occupant was transported to WARMC from the fire scene; no further information on her condition is available at this time. A request for Red Cross assistance was made to assist the residents as the home is uninhabitable at this time.
The occupants did have working smoke alarms, which alerted them to the fire. We urge all residents to ensure that their smoke alarms are properly working. If you need assistance, please contact our Community Risk Reduction Division at 928-758-3971
