Each Monday we will feature a local citizen who dedicates themselves in the education field within Mohave County. Whether they are teachers, bus drivers, crossing guards or lunch room attendants, The Bee will feature them in our special weekly section.
This week’s “Educator of the Week” is Tiffany Higgins, a first-grade teacher at Fort Mohave Elementary School in Fort Mohave.
Higgins was nominated by KayCee Larson, who had this to say about her nominee:
“She is an excellent teacher. She has taught my son for two years in a row and has absolutely done a wonderful job. She is always willing to help others as well. She has helped me grow as a teacher.”
In addition, Higgins has taken in four foster students.
To nominate someone in this field, email us at csmith@thebee.news their name, what area in the education field they work, school or college name, contact number (if possible), photo and a short bio on the individual.
