We are proud to unveil our new section of The Bee–Educator of the Week.
Each Monday we will feature a local citizen who dedicates themselves in the education field within Mohave County. Whether they are teachers, bus drivers, crossing guards or lunch room attendants, The Bee will feature them in our special weekly section.
Our first “Educator of the Week” is Jessica Sessions, an english teacher at Mohave Accelerated Learning Center.  Sessions is also the Key Club advisor and student council advisor at MALC.
Sessions was nominated by Trina Demers, who had this to say about her nominee:
“She practically lives at the school and is constantly volunteering for committees and extra duties,” said Demers. “She (Sessions) is very organized and teaches 10th, 11th, 12th, and four dual enrollment classes at MALC through Mohave Community College,” said Demers. “She also teaches two classes of Eng 101 at MCC. I teach in the classroom next to her and she’s a very supportive coworker who is constantly learning new things and sharing them with me. She is very respected by her peers and her students. I love her positive, nurturing attitude.”
To nominate someone in this field, email us at csmith@thebee.news their name, what area in the education field they work, school or college name, contact number (if possible), photo and a short bio on the individual.
