MOHAVE COUNTY—A 62-year-old man was rescued by the Mohave County Search & Rescue team Thursday afternoon near Trout Creek.

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Anita Mortensen said the search was initiated after her agency received a call from a concerned family member about an elderly man who had not returned from a back road trip to Trout Creek.

Mortensen said searchers began a route and location search covering nearly 200 miles.

The man was located a short time later at a cowboy camp south of Knight Creek. He was found uninjured and without food or water.

Searchers escorted than man to safety, said Mortensen.
