 Extension of Activation of Cooling Stations August 20th-21st

Due to an excessive heat warning administered by the National Weather Service, our Southern Nevada community is providing day shelter and extending the activation of a limited number of cooling stations throughout the valley August 20th-21st (Thursday-Friday) to allow individuals respite from the heat.  Please note that precautions are being taken in response to COVID-19.

Cooling Station locations 

  • Colorado River Food Bank 

240 Laughlin Civic Drive, Laughlin NV 89029

Hours- 8am to 2:45pm

  • American Legion Richard Springston post 60 

1510 Bruce Woodbury Drive, Laughlin NV 89029

Phone- (702)-299-1510

Hours- 8am to 8pm * on days with temps over 112 Also at this location an outside cooling area is available for pets, pets must be controlled by owner and on a leash. No pets will be allowed inside.
