On Tuesday (11/30) at approximately 3 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a single vehicle motor vehicle rollover reported at mile post 30 on Stockton Hill Road. Upon arrival, deputies located a 2006 Ram on its side truck blocking all lanes of traffic. Citizens on scene were attempting life-saving measures on the vehicle’s driver, which deputies took over until medical personnel arrived.

Life savings measures were unsuccessful and 75 year old Lynn Marshall Wanlass of Mead View was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigations revealed that Wanlass was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Wanlass was traveling northbound on Stockton Hill Road when he left the roadway to the right, then came back across all lanes of travel and went off the roadway to the left.

The vehicle then rolled and Wanlass was ejected from the vehicle prior to it coming to a stop. Speed and alcohol were determined not to be a factor in the rollover. This investigation is ongoing.
