Fatality Vehicle Accident

On the early morning of July 31, 2022, units from the Northern Arizona Fire District and DPS responded for a vehicle accident. Once on scene, units found two (2) vehicles involved in a head-on style collision. One of the vehicles involved was on fire with heavy damage to the front end, the other vehicle also had heavy damage to the front of the vehicle. All occupants, three (3) in total, were pronounced deceased on scene. Crews from Northern Arizona Fire District assisted DPS and Mohave County Coroners Office with extrication of the victims. Highway 66 remained closed from 0130 to 0600 in both directions. DPS is working to notify next of kin and is performed an investigation.
