KINGMAN, AZ (September 7, 2023)Feral Cat Warriors rescued 34 domesticated cats and kittens from the New Kingman-Butler area on September 5, 2023. At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023, Feral Cat Warriors, a nonprofit cat rescue in Kingman, AZ was contacted concerning more than 30 cats that had been abandoned on an empty lot. A concerned citizen reached out to Feral Cat Warriors worried about the health and wellbeing of these cats.

All the cats and kittens rescued that evening were in dire shape, they were skinny, hungry, severely dehydrated and many needed major medical care. Given that all these domesticated cats were unaltered, there were a total of ten female cats that are currently pregnant. Several of the cats were found with untreated eye infections that are going to result in eye enucleations (removal of the eye) with a cost between $700 – $1,000 once they are healthy enough for surgery.

Feral Cat Warriors is asking the community for any financial assistance they can afford at this time. Hoarding situations like these put a major strain on their day-to-day operations of caring for the many homeless and abandoned cats and kittens throughout Mohave County.
