These facilities join the 70,000+ square foot grass field that was transported to the site last spring after serving as the 2021 Guaranteed Rate Bowl field in downtown Phoenix.

The field and sports complex will be located at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River’s Fort Mohave Clubhouse and will serve the entire Fort Mohave community. This will be the 12th playground across the state constructed by Fiesta Bowl Charities and KABOOM!

WHY:              Play is essential to physical, creative, cognitive, social and emotional development. The new playground will serve hundreds of children in the Fort Mohave area. Fort Mohave community members have been heavily involved throughout the process. This will be the first playground in the Fort Mohave community and will serve more than 800 children. Before the build, families had to commute about 20 minutes to nearby Bullhead City to get to a playground. This new play space will provide additional access to play as well as more opportunities for creativity and teamwork.

Sponsored by BHHS Legacy and part of the Fiesta Bowl Charities 2022-23 grant cycle, Fiesta Bowl Charities granted KABOOM! funding to help build this playground, the 12th built in Arizona by Fiesta Bowl Charities and KABOOM! Fiesta Bowl Charities supports KABOOM! in promoting and protecting a child’s right to active play at home, at school and in the community.
