Fire Restrictions

Effective Thursday, May 5, at 8 am, Stage 1 fire restrictions went into place on State Trust Land within the Mohave County. Under stage 1, campfires are only allowed in designated and developed campsites, and smoking is prohibited outside. Target shooting and fireworks are not permitted on State Trust Land at any time of the year.

The Bullhead Fire District strongly encourages residents to be alert to the fire danger and take all precautions to avoid accidentally igniting a vegetation fire. Aside from open fire and fireworks ignitions, many fires are ignited along roadways due to improper disposal of smoking materials. Warming and cooking fires are allowed at this time without a permit: however, you must follow strict guidelines. With these guidelines in place, our fire district is always at a minimum of Stage one restrictions.

Again, with the arid and windy conditions forecasted, we urge citizens to be fire-wise and always use caution; fire is everyone’s responsibility. One spark is all it takes – Be smart, Be aware, Be Firewise!
