BULLHEAD CITY – The Bullhead City Elementary School District will continue to offer neighborhood delivery of free student meals covering the entire week during Thanksgiving break, all in one day. Parents of children 18 years of age and younger, or the students themselves, may pick up meals for the week this coming Monday, November 23. Students at Mohave, River Valley and CRUHSD Academy High Schools are also eligible to receive these pre-packaged meals, as are students age 18 and under at other area schools.
Meals will include six breakfasts and six lunches per student(for Monday through Saturday), whether students attend school in person or online.
Even during the holidays, there are many area students whose only reliable nutritious meals are those they get at or from school, according to BCESD Superintendent Dr. Carolyn Stewart.
There are twelve food delivery bus routes in and around Bullhead City, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Monday. The schedules are located on the BCESD/CRUHSD website at www.crsk12.orgunder Food Delivery Routes for bus stop locations and times. If possible, parents should look for the food delivery stops closest to their homes.
BCESD and CRUHSD families will also be getting dialers with reminders.
Meals are covered by a grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
