Gas Leak

On February 7, 2023, at 11:39 am Northern Arizona Fire District was dispatched to a report of a gas leak at theintersection of N Lomita St. and Leroy Ave. in Kingman.

NAFD responded an Engine, and Battalion Chief

First Reports came in a construction crew digging a trench hit a gas line.

Once units arrived on scene crew located a construction crew with the small back hoe working on adding trench for updates to the home.

Fire crew on scene where able to temporally stop the leak until Unisource Gas Company was able to fix the line.

In this case construction company did use the Call before you dig hotline (811). NAFD would like to remind the citizens to always call 811 call before you dig prior to work.
