Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Stewart Parks, 29 of Kingman, for 1st Degree Criminal Trespassing and Criminal Damage, both felonies. On Friday (1/25) at approximately 2:30 PM, deputies responded to a residence in the 3600 block of Chino Dr. in reference to suspicious activity. The reporting party stated she had been inside her home when she heard a loud noise. When she exited her front door, she observed two men, one on the ground and one on the roof of her home. When confronted by the victim, one of the men, later identified as Parks, advised the victim she had water damage to her roof. She observed the men had taken shingles off her roof and when asked, Parks advised they were blowing all over her property. Parks provided the victim with a business card for services to fix the damaged roof. The victim called a family member to the residence and he observed the damage, and noted the shingles were still in good condition. Upon arrival, deputies noted that the shingles were wet and it appeared they had been pried off the roof. Deputies made contact with Parks by phone, and he advised he had been working in the area and saw the damage to the roof and made contact with her to offer to repair it. Parks denied being on the victim’s roof or removing any of the shingles. Stewart Parks was arrested and taken to Mohave County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
