Graffiti Arrest in Bullhead City

Bullhead City (Ariz.,) – January 13, 2022 – The Bullhead City Police Department arrested a 17-year-old male for felony criminal damage for his involvement in numerous recent graffiti reports. G.I.I.T.E.M. (Gang & Immigration Intelligence Team Enforcement Mission) detectives took the lead in this investigation where approximately 25 cases of graffiti was reported at businesses, on electrical boxes, signs and walls in the Mohave Crossroads Shopping Center, Anderson Fieldhouse, and the neighborhoods of Arroyo Vista and Rio Lomas.

Through further investigation, G.I.I.T.E.M. identified the suspect as a 17-year-old Bullhead City juvenile. On Wednesday, January 12th at about 10:30 a.m., a search warrant was conducted at the juvenile’s residence in the 1500 block of Burr Street.

The juvenile was arrested on numerous counts of criminal damage and was booked into the Mohave County Juvenile Detention Center in Kingman. “The cost to the city, the tax payers and/or businesses to cover up these acts of criminal damage by vandals can reach up to hundreds of dollars,” said Chief of Police Robert Trebes. “While some may believe graffiti is a harmless act, it damages personal and public property and will not be tolerated.” The total damage of the recent graffiti was approximately $8,500.
