BULLHEAD CITY, AZ – On Thursday, June 1, at 2:06 a.m. a guy wire, which assists with holding the electric pole, made contact with the primary phase causing the circuit breaker to lock open. The reason why the guy wire broke is still under investigation. This outage affected 834 Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEC) members and occurred in the Mohave Valley area of the Western service territory. MEC crews patrolled the line, made the repairs, and closed in the circuit breaker to restore power to all members by 6:48 a.m.
