Saturday was a success for the second annual Havasu Palooza that took place in Lake Havasu City at Rotary park. The event featured numerous local country artists including the debut of Melissa Farrior out of California. The show promoter and coordinator said that next year’s event will be a two day one.

Here’s a summary of the event details:

On Saturday, September 14th, 2019 on the water and from land, Lake Havasu will transform into a boaters/floaters concert for an epic country music experience that will unfold from a shoreline stage. The stage will rest on the shoreline of “Rotary Park” and facing Thompson Bay,1400 S Smoketree Ave, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.

This is a must-attend summer lake event for boaters, friends & family, food & drink, a warm positive vibe and of course, good country music.

We have designed this festival to provide a safe environment for boaters and floaters to enjoy a concert experience from the lake rather than from the land.

There will also be food and boat vendors set up along the shoreline.

The Stage will rest on the shoreline in Thompson Bay at Rotary Park. Lifeguards will be stationed on the stage.

A secured area will be buoyed in front of the stage to allow only swimmers with flotation devices in the water.

A safety lane will buffer between the float area and run the entire length of the first of four mooring rows for boats. Each of the mooring rows will include buffer lane in between rows. The mooring rows will act similar to concert seating; a line of buoys will secure the concert seating area and separate the event from the routine boating traffic through Thompson Bay. The event is not anticipated to affect the routine boating traffic through Thompson Bay or channel.

Safety patrol boats will patrol the exterior of the Thompson Bay buoy line and a safety patrol boat will be patrol the interior from the Thompson Bay buoy line to the shoreline.

Pre-sale general land entry/water entry tickets are available and boaters can purchase OPTIONAL “Boat Parking – 1st Row, 2nd Row, and 3rd Row” and or “Boat Parking – Rotary Park Beached on Sides of Stage”, but this is not required to attend the event in a boat. (Free boat parking is for 4th row and back) Boats will be allowed access into the event space beginning at 9:00 AM. Exterior patrol boats will help to ensure that boats safely and orderly enter the event space. (Come in with your group so you can tie-up together)

Watercraft’s (PWC) will roam the mooring rows and assist boats in safely securing to the mooring line.

Bands are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. and up to 4 bands may perform until 5:30 p.m. The event ends at 6:00 p.m., at which time the PWCs and patrol boats will assist boaters in exiting the event area. Sunset is scheduled for 6:44 p.m. on the event day.

Paddleboards will assist mooring occupants rides to the shore to utilize restrooms or to enjoy the floating area.

It’s Lake Havasu’s Boaters Party.

It all happens right here in Thompson Bay in beautiful Lake Havasu, Arizona.
