Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday (6/2). At 5:33 PM, calls were received indicating two male subjects had been shot at a residence in the 2400 block of E. Palo Verde Dr. in Mohave Valley. Deputies arrived on scene and observed two male subjects had been struck by gunfire, one of which had succumbed to his injuries. The second male subject was taken to Valley View Medical Center and transported to a Las Vegas hospital with critical injuries. The deceased was identified as Aaron Brenes Flores, 47 of Bullhead City.

The homeowner was detained and interviewed regarding the incident. Witnesses on scene were also interviewed. Through the course of the investigation, it was revealed that a physical altercation had occurred at the property involving three male subjects, identified as Flores with two adult males, and the homeowner. During the altercation, the homeowner entered the residence and the three male subjects followed him into the home where the shooting occurred. This investigation is ongoing and upon completion, will be forwarded to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office for review.
