UPDATE 01/02/24: HOUSE FIRE- MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are continuing their investigation of a house fire that occurred on December 10, 2023. At approximately 2 AM, deputies were called to the residence in the 2100 block of Lone Star Dr. in Mohave Valley and observed the residence was fully engulfed by flames. Three deceased subjects were located inside the residence after the fire was extinguished. The victims have been positively identified by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office as Alexander Galvez (54), Janell Norris (53), and Meryia Loftin (20), who was pregnant at the time of the fire.
A 20-year-old male subject was able to exit the residence but was severely injured and was transported to a Las Vegas hospital. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. This investigation is ongoing.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a house fire at a residence in the 2100 block of Lone Star Dr. in Mohave Valley on Sunday (12/10) at approximately 2 AM. Upon arrival, deputies observed that the residence was fully engulfed, and a neighboring residence was also starting to catch fire on one side. Fire personnel arrived on scene and began to extinguish the fire.
While speaking with neighbors, it was learned that one occupant had exited the residence during the fire. Deputies located the 20-year-old male subject, who advised his fiancée and parents were in the residence and unaccounted for. The male subject was transported to Valley View Medical Center for his injuries, and later transported to a Las Vegas hospital for further treatment.
After the fire was extinguished, fire personnel advised that three sets of human remains had been located inside. The identities of the deceased are being withheld pending positive identification by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office. This investigation is ongoing
