House Fire with 8 people inside

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is continuing our investigation into a house fire in Golden Valley. On 06/03/2020, at approximately 12:25 AM, Deputies with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office and personnel with the Golden Valley Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire in the 4800 block of N. Elgin Rd. The investigation found that eight people were inside the residence at the time of the fire, three adults and five children. The three adults and one child were flown to a Las Vegas hospital in critical condition. Two of the adults have since been released and one adult and one child remain in critical condition. One child was admitted to Kingman Regional Medical Center for observation and released the following day. One child was uninjured.

Two children were located deceased inside the home. And have been identified as Kiplynn Stoddard (4) and Abbigial Frank (11). The cause of the fire is still under investigation and at this time there does not appear to be any criminal activity surrounding the fire.

On Wednesday (6/3) at approximately 12:25 AM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a fire of a residence in the 4800 block of N. Elgin Rd. in Golden Valley. A total of 8 individuals (three adults and five children) were inside the residence when the fire began. Two female children, ages 4 and 11, were located deceased inside the residence after the fire was extinguished. Three adults, the mother, father, and a male roommate, and one child were transported to a Las Vegas hospital and are in critical condition. Another child was hospitalized for observation with no injuries, and the remaining child involved escaped the fire with no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Neighbors in the area reported hearing gunshots at the time of the fire, however it was determined to be items exploding inside the residence. This investigation is ongoing.
