Hualapai Fire Grows to 600 Acres

Evacuation Ordered for Pine Lake, The Lodge & Park

Shelter at Palo Christy Elementary

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 25, 2021) The Flag Fire raging in about 600 acres of the Hualapai Mountains has resulted in the evacuation of approximately 200 homes in Pine Lake, as well as the closure of the Hualapai Mountain Resort and the Park. 

Multiple fire units are on site The Hualapai Park Road is closed to Mile Post 10.  Several air attack drops have taken place so far despite the heavy smoke in the area.

The Red Cross has set up shelter for evacuees at the Palo Christy Elementary School, 500 Maple Street.  A command post is currently set up at the Ranger Station.
