BULLHEAD CITY– In recognition of the 79th Celebration of National Aviation Day the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport will be hosting an open house on Saturday, August 18 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

The event is taking place at Signature Flight Support, the fixed-base operator at the airport located south of the main terminal.

President Franklin Roosevelt proclaimed August 19 to be National Aviation Day in 1939. This nationally recognized day coincides with the birthday of Orville Wright, who piloted the Wright Flyer in 1903. The purpose of this day is to celebrate the history and future of aviation.

A variety of 15-20 aircraft will be on display on the airport apron. Visitors will be able to get up close to aircraft and speak to pilots while enjoying the spirit of aviation. A free breakfast snack and coffee will be available for guests during the event available while supplies last.

For more information, contact airport administration at 928-754-2134.
