Kingman City Offices Closed for Independence Day

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman offices will be closed Friday, July 3, 2020, in honor of Independence Day. There will be no residential or commercial trash service on Friday; Thursday and Friday customers should put their cans out one day early. KART services will not be available Friday, July 3 or Saturday July 4, 2020, as well.

City aquatics facilities will be open Friday, July 3 and Saturday July 4, 2020, under their regular schedule listed on the city website. Parks team members have been working hard to provide safe facilities and will continue to follow and monitor that the CDC guidelines are being followed:

  • Lines in front of both entrances are spaced six feet apart
  • Plexiglas in front and back entrance as well as concession area where sales takes place
  • Restrooms have dividers and hand washing stations have soap
  • Showers have dividers
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be set up in food area locations and areas where people might touch surfaces
  • Lawn chairs are six feet apart
  • Tables are for families who can remain gathered spaced six feet apart
  • Concessions line, slide line & diving board lines have been implemented 6ft. apart
  • Signs reminding patrons of safety policies have been placed throughout the building and on deck
  • Swim lesson participants will be spaced out six feet apart
  • Disinfecting will be taking place every 30 minutes and/or after each scheduled session on top of the normal cleans done daily
  • All staff have been trained on bloodborne pathogens and will be equipped with proper PPE in order to protect them and the public (lifeguards will not be wearing masks on deck when guarding due to safety in the event they have to perform a rescue; they will be practicing social distancing and wearing a mask indoors or on deck when not guarding)
  • Limited pool capacity at both pools; Centennial Pool will accommodate 120 people and Grandview Pool will accommodate 35
