Kingman Municipal Airport Receives Federal ARPA Funding

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman is proud to receive a federal grant in the amount of $32,000 for the Kingman Municipal Airport. Kingman Mayor Jen Miles said, “We are grateful for Congressman Gosar’s continued support, and this funding will help with the ever-growing Kingman Municipal Airport operations.”

  • This grant will provide federal funding for the Kingman Airport associated with Kingman, Arizona. The local point of contact is Ms. Brenda Chastain, Corporate Administration Director. Ms. Brenda Chastain may be reached at (928) 757-2134.
  • This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. An intent to fund this grant was previously announced by the Secretary of Transportation on June 22, 2021.
  • This grant provides economic relief funds for costs related to operations, personnel, cleaning, sanitization, janitorial services, debt service payments, and combating the spread of pathogens at the airport.
  • Kingman Airport is a general aviation airport, designated as local, as defined in the FAA’s National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) report.
  • Following this grant announcement, FAA will notify the sponsor of the allocation. A grant offer will be issued subsequently for this grant as finally formulated.
