GOLDEN VALLEY–A Kingman woman is dead after she reportedly sustained a gunshot wound at a Golden Valley home on Saturday.
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office have identified the victim as Jessica Mae Orozco, 31.
Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 1100 block of Concho Drive in Golden Valley in reference to a weapons offense. Deputies arrived at the home and found Orozco suffering from a gunshot wound. She was immediately taken to Kingman Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.
Detectives are investigating the case.
very sad.
Want to know what happened to my friend, how this senseless loss of life could have happened!
Who did this
Jessica was stolen from us and we really need to know by whom and why and how come the process of serving justice has not begun in her death.
Not sure how the law works in Az. but here in CA. if I phone in a Domestic abuse call to 911 someone goes to jail for 72 hours no matter what.
I think this offense of Jessica’s right to life rises to a higher level than a “weapons violation” investigation. A beautiful soul has been stolen from family and friends. This murder happened 5 days ago now with no publication in the local media of any kind of an arrest or suspect. How long does it take to process a weapon and a persons hands /cloths for powder? I have seen every other suspect in every other crime apparently in the county for whatever petty crime of the week.
Makes me really wonder why the silence from the sheriff? Is the shooter someone worthy of Kingman’s finest to protect & hide for some reason?
Justice for Jessica please!
Has an arrest happened? This crime can not go unpunished! Her community will not let this go .
