KPD Officer, Rookie, Civilian and Volunteer of the Year selected.

As part of the National Police Week celebration the Kingman Police Department has selected the Officer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Civilian of the Year and the Volunteer of the Year. KPD team members are nominated by their peers for conduct and performance during the previous year.
This year’s recipients are…..
Officer of the Year: Detective Shawn Wyma.
Detective Wyma has been with KPD for 7 years. He is currently assigned as a narcotic detective.
Rookie of the Year: Officer Lane Brock.
Officer Brock joined KPD in July 2020. He is recognized by his fellow officers as being a model officer. Previously, as a student, Ofc. Brock was a member of KPD’s Explorer Post and also attended the KPD Junior Police Academy summer youth leadership program.
Civilian of the Year: Karly Smith
Karly has been part of the KPD team for almost 4 years. Karly is an Intelligence Analyst currently assigned to the MAGNET task force.
Volunteer of the Year: Phil Netzorg
Phil has been volunteering with KPD since July 2019. Phil puts in countless hours in support of the KPD mission.
