Officer Reid responded to a domestic violence incident where she learned that a 12-year-old girl was having some mental health issues. The juvenile does not have many belongings and had a highly valued toy destroyed. The juvenile was ultimately transported to KRMC to get mental health help.

Officer Reid went out of her way to purchase the juvenile a new toy using her own money and delivered it to the juvenile personally. She also reassured the juvenile that if she needed anyone to talk to, she could speak to her.

Officer Reid received a mug for her actions on that day. It’s situations like these that give our juveniles not only hope for the police but also hope for the future.

Great job, Officer Reid!
