KRMC provider wins award for vaccine administration

Kingman, Arizona, April 28, 2020 – The Arizona Partnership for Immunization (TAPI) has honored KRMC’s Rauchel Farris, FNP-C with a TAPI Big Shot award for her high rates of immunization and her efforts in vaccine education within the community.

Farris, a nurse practitioner at Joshua Tree Pediatrics, received the “Hot Shot” award. This award recognizes special achievement by providers who have “gone ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty to give tremendous amounts of time and effort to increase immunization coverage levels,” according to TAPI.

Jessica Coglietti, RN, BSN, nominated Farris for the award, saying, “She always involves her patients and families in their care,” giving them the resources they need to make educated decisions about their children’s health.

TAPI hosts an annual awards ceremony for providers and practices with high immunization rates statewide. Last Thursday, April 23rd, TAPI hosted the awards ceremony virtually, through Zoom. Finding out about her award, Farris said, “I am so honored and overwhelmed with appreciation to be able to represent our practice in such a positive way, promoting healthy families.”
