KINGMAN–Health and wellness is a priority for those at Kingman Regional Medical Center and that is why their annual Women’s Health Fair will focus on the various health topics affecting women daily.
This year’s expo will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at KRMC’s Hualapai Mountain Campus, 3801 Santa Rosa Drive.
Over 40 organizations will participate in the event, offering screenings and information to enhance the health and wellbeing of women in our community. Attendees can receive a free flu vaccination and schedule a free mammogram.
Information will be available on various health topics, such as, family planning, exercise, nutrition, osteoporosis, smoking cessation, physical activity. Health booths will also conduct screenings that include biometrics and Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, a test that helps determine genetic risk for individuals developing COPD and other lung related disorders.
The expo is free and open to the public. Refreshments and prizes will be included. For more information, contact Ben McGlothlin at 928-263-3873.
It is my great pleasure to be a KRMC volunteer and it was wonderful to staff a table at this event. Even rain couldn’t keep folks away and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Thank you for your great coverage, especially Ashlie’s live video reports!
