Lake Havasu City continues making progress on essential infrastructure improvements along Acoma Boulevard. This project supports ongoing roadway rehabilitation and paving operations while maintaining two lanes of traffic whenever possible. Temporary lane shifts and overnight closures are necessary to ensure the safety of both construction crews and the traveling public.

Beginning Tuesday, August 4, through Wednesday, August 5, a closure and detour is in effect between Pima Drive North and Pima Drive South from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. to allow for milling operations between Smoketree Avenue and Constellation Drive. Motorists are encouraged to follow the posted detour route and allow additional travel time. The same detour will remain in place during paving operations.

From Wednesday, August 5, through Thursday, August 6, a closure and detour is in effect between Palo Verde Boulevard South and Constellation Drive from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. as crews pave this section of roadway. Please use the designated detour during your commute.

From Thursday, August 6, through Friday, August 7, a closure and detour will be in place between Mimosa Drive and Cosnina Drive from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. to complete paving operations in this area. Motorists should follow all posted detour signs.

Once these segments are complete, the contractor will continue roadway improvements from Smoketree Avenue to SR 95 North at Lake Havasu Avenue. The project also includes adjustments to underground utilities to support the long-term reliability of the City’s infrastructure. Because this is a rolling construction operation, motorists should expect periodic lane restrictions and minor delays throughout the project area. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time, reduce speed in work zones, and follow all posted traffic control devices.

Lake Havasu City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as these improvements enhance roadway safety and preserve the City’s transportation infrastructure for years to come.
