FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: September 24, 2026

Lake Havasu City announces a temporary street closure this Sunday, September 27, 2026, for the annual Gold Star Mothers Candlelight Ceremony at Wheeler Park. To ensure safe pedestrian access and event setup, McCulloch Boulevard is temporarily closed from Riviera Boulevard to Capri Boulevard from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and exercise caution in the area.

The annual ceremony honors Gold Star Mothers and the sons and daughters they lost while serving our country and provides an opportunity for the community to gather in remembrance, recognize their sacrifice, and ensure the lives and service of their loved ones are never forgotten.

Lake Havasu City appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation during the temporary closure and encourages the community to join in honoring our local Gold Star families.
